Background
Perry Vogel grew up in southeastern North Dakota, developing a passion for technology at an early age. He earned an Associate of Science degree in Computer Information Systems, with formal training in RPG programming. Early in his academic journey, he showcased his skills with an assembly language project that earned him a spot at the International Science and Engineering Fair.
Career Highlights
Perry spent six years at Ecolab Pest Elimination as a Programmer & New Technology Developer, managing customer contract maintenance, call center systems, and technology integrations to improve operational efficiency.
He then served 15 years at Acme Tools as Enterprise Systems Analyst, overseeing all aspects of IBM i systems. During this time, he earned IBM Certified Specialist certifications and collaborated with IBM to update their certification exams.
At Iptor, Perry spent seven years as Senior Technical Consultant, advising clients across the Unites States, Canada, and Mexico on ERP implementations and system optimization.
He later worked three years at Protelo, Inc. as Senior Technology Consultant, helping clients optimize ERP systems and achieve operational excellence.
Perry founded Vogel Consulting LLC to deliver independent, experience-driven guidance for organizations navigating complex operational challenges, emphasizing measurable outcomes, adaptable solutions, and practical strategies that bridge legacy systems with modern enterprise needs.
Personal Life
Perry lives in Grand Forks, North Dakota, with his wife. Their adult son is pursuing a career in computer science and has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Outside of professional and volunteer commitments, Perry enjoys SCUBA diving, RVing, hiking, and cross-country skiing.
